How does the resizer handle images with different aspect ratios?⌄
The tool scales the image to fill the target dimensions completely, which may crop some edges. This is called "cover" scaling — the image is scaled up until both dimensions are filled, and any overflow is cropped. This ensures the output has exactly the target dimensions with no empty space.
Can I resize to custom dimensions not listed in the presets?⌄
Yes. Switch to the "Custom" tab and enter any width and height in pixels. This is useful for niche platforms, ad sizes, email headers, or any other specific dimension requirements not covered by the presets.
Will resizing reduce my image quality?⌄
The resizer uses the browser's Canvas API with high-quality bilinear interpolation. Downscaling (making the image smaller) generally produces good results. Upscaling (making the image larger) may introduce some blurriness since the tool must create pixels that were not in the original. For best results, start with an image that is at least as large as the target dimensions.
