The output is always a PNG file with transparency. The areas outside the rounded rectangle are made transparent so the rounded image can be placed on any background without visible square corners. If your input was a JPEG, it is converted to PNG to support transparency.
What radius should I use?⌄
For subtle rounding, 10-20px works well for most images. For a card-like appearance, use 20-40px. For a pill shape, set the radius to half the shorter dimension. The maximum radius is capped at half the shorter image dimension to prevent over-rounding.
Can I make only specific corners rounded?⌄
Currently all four corners are rounded uniformly. For individual corner control, you would need a more advanced image editor. Uniform rounding covers the vast majority of design use cases and produces a clean, consistent look.
Will rounding corners reduce the image quality?⌄
